Make These Steps Part of Your Daily Routine
Suffering from bad breath? You’re not alone. According to WebMD, millions of Americans suffer from bad breath (halitosis). And, it’s no surprise that bad breath can affect your social and business life, and leave you more self-conscious and prone to embarrassment.
But, the good news is that you can minimize and reduce bad breath very easily. Just make these 3 steps part of your routine every day:
- Brush and Floss More Frequently
Bad breath is caused by plaque build up as well as the bacteria on your teeth, primarily due to food lingering between your teeth. Simply brushing and flossing more often will help to remove any food and accordingly help reduce bad breath. Go easy, though – brushing too much can erode your teeth’s enamel making them more vulnerable to decay. - Scrape Your Tongue
As a normal part of mouth chemistry, there is a coating that normally forms on the top of your tongue. And this coating can harbor gross smelling bacteria (yuck). The easiest way to eliminate this unwanted nastiness is by using a tongue scraper. You can also brush your tongue with a tooth brush to as a remedy; however, the scraper is better suited to reaching the back of your tongue. - Use Mouth Wash
A final step to minimize your bad breath is to rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash. Also, consider getting into the habit of washing out your mouth with plain water after each meal. The goal of rinsing is to rid your mouth of any lingering food.
